Electrum Bitcoin Wallet to Support Lightning Network in Next Release

The next release of major Bitcoin (BTC) wallet software Electrum will support off-chain scalability solution Lightning Network (LN). The Electrum official Twitter account announced the upcoming LN integration in a tweet sent on Oct. 14. The tweet announced: “The next release of Electrum will support Lightning payments. Coinbase Reinstates Full GBP Support for UK Clients

United States-based crypto exchange Coinbase has reinstated GBP transfers for its United Kingdom customers, according to an official announcement on Oct. 3. Two Venezuelan companies have partnered to release a cryptocurrency debit card and point-of-sale (PoS) system. “Crypto transfer device” supports four currencies According to a social media release by state-sanctioned exchange CriptoLAGO on Oct. 1, the joint offering with so-called “investment cryptobank” Glufco is already taking orders. Major cryptocurrency payment services provider BitPay has added support for the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization, Ether (ETH). Per a press release published on Sept. 16, companies that use BitPay for payment processing are now able to accept Ether for purchases without having to set up any enhancements. Cielo, the largest payment processing provider in Brazil, has unveiled support for Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrency purchases on its point-of-sale (PoS) devices.
